Join us for a two hour workshop at Victoria Park Golf Complex and learn about the myths and facts of autism and the evidence behind early intervention.
We’ll also explore what challenging behaviour is, why children engage in it and what to do about it.
This event is perfect for families with a suspected or new autism diagnosis and allied health professionals.
- First hour - About Autism: what is autism, myths about autism, diagnosis of autism, evidence-based treatments for early learners diagnosed with autism
- Second hour - Foundations of behaviour: what is challenging behaviour, why children engage in challenging behaviour, and what to do about them
Morning tea provided, on-site parking, everyone is welcome.
About your speaker:
Lian has been working with children, adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum since 2010.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Applied Disability Studies and is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst.
Lian is passionate about raising awareness of autism and best practices in early intervention therapy and care.
