Dr Rosa Flaherty
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr Rosa Flaherty is a CEO and PhD-qualified senior psychologist with over 30 years’ experience in the human services sector, primarily across child and family services. She has held senior executive leadership and governance roles, most recently as CEO of AEIOU Foundation, and has served on boards and committees, including Act for Kids and the UniSA Justice & Society Academic Board.
She specialises in leading organisational change, implementing policy reform, and delivering large-scale programs across disability, child protection, domestic and family violence, mental health and healthcare sectors. Her work is grounded in strong advocacy for vulnerable and marginalised communities, particularly children with disabilities, victims and survivors of violence and abuse, and people living with mental illness.
As CEO of AEIOU Foundation, she is focused on maintaining service excellence and child safety, ensuring the delivery of high-quality intensive early intervention and specialised support for autistic children aged 2–6 years. She works closely with the Board and Executive Leadership to deliver strategy, engage stakeholders and drive sustainable outcomes.
Combining a strong clinical background with agile executive leadership, and underpinned by a personal connection to autism, she is passionate about inspiring teams and supporting programs and services that enable individuals, children and families to live their best lives.
She is inspired by her husband, children, and grandchildren, and enjoys growing vegetables, reading, and koala-spotting.
