$180 000 raised for children with Autism at Sing for kids 2006

To every one of our 360 guests, sponsors and volunteers... thank you for your generosity and contribution to making Sing for Kids 2006 a huge success.
Not only did you raise your voices you also raised substantial amount of money by singing your favourite song at this years Sing for Kids fundraising event.
Gianni Events Portside was absolutely breathtaking with décor, fabulous food and fabulous wine donated by McGuigan Wines.
Thank you to James Blundell who performed hit after hit as well as Francesca De Valence, Kevie Walters, Ben Ikin, Liz Smylie, Wayne Grady, Kellie Higgins-Devine, Lady Mayoress Lisa Newman, Coffee Club’s John Lazarou, and golfing pro Ossie Moore who all sang out loud for children with Autism.
With MC...'Triple M the cage' Ian Skippen kicking of the night with Brisbane band 'The Elements' doing a fantastic rendition of Brown Eyed Girl it was obvious that we were going to have a memorable night.
AEIOU chairman Dr James Morton officially opened the proceedings with a $50 000 donation to AEIOU thanks to the generously of by Mr Toni Redstone.
We were all wowed by James Blundell's amazing voice as well as the experience we were given to sing with him on stage but I think we were all mesmerizes with his brilliant rendition of ‘I still call Australia’ home accompanied by the extremely talented Francesca De Valence.

Congratulations to the lucky guests who took home over $150 000 worth of prizes & Auctions.
Lexus of Brisbane supplied the latest edition RX400h for live auction, Mondial Assistance donated a fabulous 5 star Tasmanian Holiday, Anthonys Fine Jewellery once again donated an exclusive 'Jobson' handcrafted piece of Jewellery valued at $6000 and one lucky guest walked away with a brand new BBQ valued at $2500 from Mitre 10.
