Thanks to you, each year hundreds of children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential and gain skills that prepare them for a brighter future.
One in 100 Australians are diagnosed with autism, and this is one of the most common disabilities affecting young children in our country.
We know from our families they feel a resounding sense of HOPE when they join AEIOU's program. Receiving an autism diagnosis is often an extremely traumatic experience for a young family. We want families to know we are here for them and are ready to walk this journey hand-in-hand.
As a friend once said to me, autism is a marathon not a sprint. Our outcomes so far have been a continuous upward gain, rather than an explosive shift. While every family hopes for that dramatic overnight transformation, there is so much more satisfaction in the small achievements which change your family’s life a little more every day. Success is also finding someone who can help you both to understand your child and learn how to be the parent they need.
