2017 Up Up Upper Mt Gravatt Paper Plane Championships

YES … IT’S ON AGAIN FOR 2017!

Where: The Southern Cross Sports Club (home of the Mt Gravatt Vultures AFL team). Corner of Klumpp and Logan Road Upper Mt Gravatt.

• Toilets available
• AFL field – loads of space for kids to run around and be safe flying and chasing planes
• BBQ area for sausage sizzle, drinks & freshly made coffee

When: Saturday 14 October 2017 from 12pm

Price: $5 per competitor (supporting family members enter free)

• You can pre-register here – so get organised and register today! You can also simply rock up and register on the day – that’s cool too.
• Anyone of any age can enter by registering on the day

Competition: three categories up for grabs – 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive trophies of each category below

• Longest distance
• Longest hang time
• Expression session

Three worthy charities: RSPCA, AEIOU, ROTARY CLUB OF BRISBANE

• Money raised from sausage sizzle and raffle tickets will be split evenly between three charities
• Upon paying their entry fee, competitors will each be given a token to place in a bucket showing their choice of charity to support
• Winner of each competition category will choose a charity to give their prize money to (winner of longest distance choosing first, then winner of longest hang time, and finally expression session handing their novelty cheque to the representative of the final charity who will be there on the day to accept the prize money)

• Every competitor receives a set of gold wings to pin on their shirt
• Every competitor receives a paper plane championships participation certificate
• Special prizes will be given to those who impress the judges with their colouring in and paper plane designs
