AEIOU Foundation invites parents and carers to the 2017 conference on 4 March 2017 at Griffith University, Nathan Campus.
This free event will feature seminars and workshops, facilitated by autism experts to help parents navigate the maze of autism interventions.
The program will include:
- Address by the Hon. Coralee O'Rourke, Minister for Disability Services
- Presentation on tips and techniques for implementing strategies at home
- Presentation by Clinical Psychologist Dr Celia Bird on practicing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Research news, including a presentation by AEIOU's Dr Madonna Tucker and Griffith University senior lecturer David Trembath
- Workshops on developing conversation skills, and learning to learn
- Presentation on navigating the NDIS
Catering will be provided throughout the day.
