Paddle For Kids

Paddle for Kids is back, bigger and better in 2012, and will form part of AEIOU Foundation's Autism Awareness Month celebrations this April! We're inviting families who attend AEIOU Foundation centres, local community members and corporate supporters to join us and make a splash in the Brisbane River and raise funds for children with autism in our program.
Paddle for Kids is a unique community and family event, hosted in Captain Burke Park on Sunday 29 April from 8:30am – 2:00pm, it is one of our much-loved events of the year, and includes kayak races, a pint-size carnival for children, a BBQ and more.
This event is perfect for people of all levels of fitness to create a team of four to compete in a kayak relay throughout the day.
Team registration is $40 and all kayakers are encouraged to raise some funds and generate support by promoting their participation to their database of contacts and generating support. Prizes will be awarded to the winning kayak team and the highest fundraising teams and there will be a host other prizes for team participation and fundraising on the day.
We also encourage the local community to come down and join us for the day to cheer on the race participants and enjoy a family-friendly carnival for kids with slides, rides and face painters!
We would love for you to join us; your support is helping AEIOU Break the Bubble of autism. Don't miss out.
