We’re all aboard the Alex Perry train
This seasons fashion event envy is all about Friday night, 10th September when over 350 of Brisbane’s most glamorous enjoyed an energetic night of fashion, fine wine and entertainment with Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson.
The runway show was the highlight of the evening, showcasing the Arabian Princess collection with some extraordinary dresses on display. Runway hair was bigger than ever as Jayne Wilde made special attendance to work her magic!
The evening was glamour en masse from ‘everything that sparkles’ to dramatic make-up, big hair and the constant hum of fun and laughter was the soundtrack to a fabulous night. Sequins, tulle, embellishments and flawless tailoring are the hallmarks of Alex Perry’s designs and they came out in full force at the show.
King of couture, Alex Perry, opened the evening with an insight into his passion for supporting AEIOU in their endeavour to improve the lives of children with autism and their families. Alex said my life revolves around communication... communication of thoughts, ideas and love. Communication is the most amazing gift and I take it for granted, but imagine life without it? Lonely and solitary. Please help kids with autism. Show your love.
Perry’s AEIOU parades are known in equal parts for the breathtaking fashion, make-up, hair design, celebrity attendance and beautiful people.
Business personalities Terry Peabody and Scott Hutchinson along with media personalities Ian Skippen and Frances Whiting attended for a fun and generous night out to support the cause.
Event sponsors Modial Assistance, Lexus, Craggy Range, Anthonys Fine Jewellery, Emporium Hotel and Alex Perry made the event bigger and bolder this year whilst Perry's designs helped us to forget the Global Financial Crisis was only last year, rising in excess of $50,000 for the AEIOU Foundation!
