Mat Rogers makes a special visit to AEIOU
Mat Rogers, Gold Coast Titans star, hero among young aspiring athletes and family man wore his heart on his sleeve last Thursday 2nd September when he visited the children at the AEIOU Foundation.
Mat Roger’s and board members of 4 ASD Kids generously spent over two hours visiting the AEIOU Nathan centre to discuss the program, meet staff and join in with the children’s daily activities.
The AEIOU Foundation CEO, Alan Smith said Mat was great with the children, as they passed the footy and played outside, their little faces lit up as Mat encouraged each child with positive reinforcement.
“Mat is a passionate advocate for children with autism, with a big heart and a great vision for closing the gap to giving every child the best opportunity to reach their full potential” Alan said.
“I look forward to working more closely with Matt after he retires from footy and focuses on creating greater awareness of autism and the tremendous benefits derived from early quality early intervention programs for young children with ASD” he said.
“It is very exciting to have two leading organisations AEIOU Foundation and 4 ASD Kids teaming up to tackle the many challenges facing families that have children affected with Autism” he said.
The AEIOU Foundation is Queensland’s only charitable organisation dedicated to providing full time professional early programs to children aged 2.5 to 6 years diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
